Kapawe’no First Nation – Students at Buffalo Bay Academy in Mr Joe Kavanagh Biology 30 are working through the Nervous System, learning how our 5 senses detect information, pass it to the brain, and create a response. We will be moving to the endocrine system soon! In Math 30-1, students have been doing some heavy algebra learning how to divide polynomials up to the 5th degree!
This leads to 2 very important Theorems in mathematics – the Remainder Theorem and the Factor theorem – which help to further their understanding of polynomials.
As for Science 24, students have been studying about the difference between chemistry today and the chemistry of 100 years ago. We are discussing advances in science in the realms of sovereign foods / farming,
clothing and cleaning products!
