Edmonton, Treaty 6 Territory – Kapaweno Muskwak faced off against the Edmonton Trappers in Game 3 on Friday April 3 of the U18E division at the Booster Juice Arena (Terwillegar Community Rec Centre). The Muskwak secured a decisive 6-2 victory. In the first period, Kapaweno scored twice with goals from Cassius McDonald and Maxwell Crier, while Edmonton’s Korbin Olheiser managed one goal. In the second period, Kapaweno extended their lead with goals from Jack Day(game winner from Gavin Alexander and Jacob Fleming) and Rowan McDonald. Charles Mackay added a goal for Edmonton. The Muskwak continued their dominance in the final period with Jacob Fleming and McDonald netting additional goals.
Kapaweno maintained control throughout the game. Kapaweno kept Edmonton on the back foot and effectively shut down their offensive efforts.
