Edmonton, Treaty 6 Territory – Just like in Game 1, the Kapawe’no Muskwak dominated from the start. Despite some choppy play against them in Game 2, their performance was solid. In the first period, the Muskwak took the lead with a solo goal and effort by #9 Denny Halcrow-Lauck. By the end of the second period, they were up 3-0 and secured a 4-0 victory by the end of the game, with Kale Cuthbert earning a shutout with a very solid effort.
Coach Knibb defended the team during the rough play. “It’s tough to see our players get roughed up. I will defend them to the end,” he stated.
