Edmonton, Treaty 6 Territory – On Sunday, April 6, at 5:40 PM, the U18 Elite division’s Bronze Medal game was fiercely contested. The Kapawe’no Muskwak faced a determined Peavine squad in a highly competitive match. The Muskwak came out strong, skating and hitting hard. Despite Peavine scoring early, causing the Muskwak to grip their sticks tightly, they quickly regrouped.
Once the Muskwak settled down, they tied the game and began to relax, showing intense skating, passing, and shooting. By the end of the second period, they led 4-2, though the game’s outcome remained uncertain. In the third period, the boys took firm control, extending their lead to a commanding 7-3 before the final whistle, finishing the championship weekend with a 5-2 record.
The Muskwak played with heart and truly deserved the bronze medal. Well done, Muskwak!
