Buffalo Bay Academy Holds First ID Camp in High Prairie

April 9, 2025, High Prairie – Buffalo Bay Academy’s Hockey program held its first ID Camp from April 8 to 11 at the Sports Palace in High Prairie.

The camp will aim to identify hockey talent for its new program starting in 2025/2026. Close to forty players have registered and is attending the camp, with numbers growing each day. Participants showed their skills to coaches Sergiy Ivanyuk and Sandy Laughlin, striving for more skill development.

The academy’s elite hockey program will have teams in U15, U17, and U18 divisions, including AAA and AA teams for both males and females. U11 and U13 teams will focus on development and will be entered into the newly formed Native Alberta Hockey League.

The camp’s success shows strong interest in hockey among hockey players in the territory. The academy is excited to support and grow this interest in the nation and area.
