Kapawen’no First Nation – Each early morning our Grade 2-5 students begins the day with the grandfather drum. Kapaweno Nêhiyawak School and Buffalo Bay Academy are filled with the powerful heartbeat of our big grandfather drum, a sound that echoes the deep-rooted traditions and spirited energy of our Nation.
Led by Muskwak Juniors and Mr. Cory Cardinal Jr. and Sr., these morning sessions are musical interludes and a very vibrant expression of our nêhiyawak miyo pimachitiwin.
