Koreen began her career working for Westview Community Health Services based out of Spruce Grove, Alberta in which she was responsible for 12 schools in the area. Once she had the first of her two daughters, she began a Private Practice. In 2004, she co-founded/owned and directed Innovative Intervention Services Incorporated, a company that supports severely impacted children and their families with a varied array of Diagnosis (Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Apraxia, Rare Chromosomal Anomalies, Global Developmental Delays) requiring intensive intervention from a specialized team of Psychologists, Occupational therapists, Physical Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists. Koreen has developed a passion for working with children with oral motor challenges/Apraxia of Speech and providing care and attention to give non-verbal children a voice through augmentative and alternative technology. Koreen is also a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Panel that advises in decision making for the Family Supports for Children with Disabilities Program (FSCD). Over the last 3 years she has discovered a passion for traveling to and building relationships directly with First Nations.
