Kapawe’no First Nation – At Kapawe’no Nêhiyawak School, the Kindergarten/ Grade One class, led by Mrs. Jackie Halcrow and her dedicated Educational Assistants (EAs), Erin Thunder and DJ Lamouche, exemplifies the school’s commitment to fostering early childhood learning. This dynamic team plays a crucial role in shaping a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our youngest learners.
Mrs. Halcrow and her EAs have transformed their classroom into a vibrant space that encourages exploration and growth. The “Watch Us Grow” display, featuring flowers and ladybugs with the students’ joyful faces, not only decorates the hallway but also symbolizes the children’s developmental journey. It’s a daily reminder of the students’ progress and the nurturing environment the staff creates.
In Mrs. Halcrow’s classroom, learning comes alive through interactive sessions where children are listeners and active participants. Whether it’s a group reading activity or a hands-on project, the focus is always on engaging every student.
