Whitefish, Treaty 8 – Our Muskwa Field Lacrosse team traveled to Whitefish on Tuesday May 28 and delivered an outstanding performance, securing a hard-fought victory against the formidable Atikameg School with a final score of 5-3.
The band and cheering squad, led by Mr. Fred Mack, were loud and motivating, supporting our young Muskwak players right to the end. The support from our staff, parents, and stakeholders was invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for their presence and encouragement. Hats off to Mr Brian Thomas for organizing the home and home games and practicing the team to get them ready for competition.
At the end of the game, their support continued as one parent prepared sandwiches for our team, a gesture greatly appreciated by the boys and girls as we headed home. Kael and Benny led the scoring, while Benny and Annie’s defensive efforts were outstanding.
Congratulations to our team for their effort, commitment, and execution of a well-played game.
