Message from Principal Cory Cardinal

May 30, 2024

Kapawe’no First Nation – As the school year draws to a close, I reflect on what a busy and successful year it has been for all of us at First Nations Collegiate. I am incredibly proud of our dedicated staff and hard-working students for making this year a great success. With summer upon us, I hope everyone takes the time to relax and recharge.

Looking ahead, the 2024-2025 school year is rapidly approaching, and we are already in the midst of registrations. I am pleased to announce that, except for the Grade 1 and 2 split class, all other classes from Grade 3 to Grade 9 will be single grade classes. Additionally, the majority of our wonderful FNC teachers will be returning, alongside several newly hired educators who bring fresh energy and expertise to our nation.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing Music Teacher, Fred Mack, for his time and contributions here at First Nation Collegiate. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

As we move forward, I am excited about the opportunities and new beginnings the next school year will bring. Enjoy your summer, and we look forward to seeing you all in the fall.
