Staying Connected: How are Virtual Students Actively Engaged in School Activities

Kapawe’no First Nation – At First Nation Collegiate and our schools we are deeply committed to fostering inclusivity and community, ensuring that every student, whether attending in person or virtually, stays actively engaged in our vibrant school life. Our virtual students consistently show their enthusiasm and dedication, enriching our school culture in remarkable ways.

Our Sports Academy is buzzing with excitement over lacrosse, a thrilling addition that has quickly become a favorite. To ensure all students can partake in this fantastic opportunity, we’ve gone the extra mile to include our virtual learners. Benjamin and Malaya Chartrand, two of our dedicated virtual students, received lacrosse sticks delivered right to their homes. This not only encourages them to practice the sport at home but also prepares them for future games with the Sports Academy. Their enthusiasm and effort to stay involved are truly commendable, and we eagerly anticipate seeing them join their peers on the field!

Beyond traditional sports, our E-Sports Academy offers an innovative platform for students to engage in competitive strategic gaming. Derek Lalonde, another of our virtual students, actively participates in this exciting program. Every week, Derek connects with his peers online, diving into intense and thrilling gaming sessions. These gatherings are about more than just the games; they cultivate teamwork and strategic thinking among participants. Derek’s active involvement and impressive skills significantly enhance the dynamism and success of our E-Sports Academy.
