Grade 4 Students Showcase Indigenous Knowledge Through Dioramas

June 19, 2024

Kapawe’no First Nation – Our Grade 4 students at Kapawe’no Nêhiyawak School have completed their final project: dioramas. These projects sparked their creativity and curiosity, encouraging them to delve deeper into our Indigenous ways of life. The students explored various landscapes, ways of life, and the use of natural resources for survival.

Each diorama included an animal from the Seven Teachings in its natural habitat, accompanied by a written report detailing the landforms, structures, and tools featured, along with their purpose and significance.

A heartfelt thank you to Miss Melissa for crafting three items for each student’s diorama, enhancing the authenticity and educational value of their projects.
