Willow Point, Sucker Creek First Nation – At the Oti Nekan 125th Treaty 8 Gathering, First Nation Collegiate set up a booth to highlight its four pillar schools: Kapawe’no Nêhiyawak School (K-6), Buffalo Bay Academy (7-12), First Nation Virtual Learning Centre, and Kapawe’no Outreach/Adult Education. The booth attracted significant interest, showcasing unique programs like on-the-land learning, the Leadership and Wellness Framework (LAWF), music and sports academies, and the innovative 80/80 balance of attendance and grade average.
Interest generated at the booth signifies strong support for First Nation Collegiate’s learning approach. This week alone, the increased engagement has doubled our registration numbers, and we expect this trend to continue. First Nation Collegiate stands as a place for learning excellence, driven by a commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders. The staff’s dedication and innovative programs ensure students are well-prepared for the future and ready to achieve great things.
