Kapawe’no First Nation – Our schools are fortunate to have a Knowledge Keeper like Herman Sutherland Sr.
Herman Sutherland Sr. visited our school to help our teachers harvest the sage growing in front of our building. His knowledge and wisdom have been invaluable in teaching us about harvesting this medicine, which we burn daily. The burning of sage fills the hallways every day. We pray for goodness and balance each day. Pimachihowin!
