Kapawe’no First Nation – Music at our Kapawe’no Nehiyawak School and Buffalo Bay Academy will soar to new heights with the sound of music filling the hallways this school year. Last year, we were fortunate to have Mr. Fred Mack, who laid a solid foundation for our music program.
This school year, we will build on that foundation with more field trips, increased clubs and lessons, and a new recording studio. Additionally, we will introduce more hand drums, flutes, and expand our fiddle program. Mr. Mack did an excellent job last year, with help from Mr. Scott Courtorielle, in introducing our traditional drums.
We are excited about the potential for a rock band with Mr. Colin Campbell, our new teacher. He’s enthusiastic about joining our team and is committed to putting Kapawe’no Muskwak Music on the map.
