Kapawe’no First Nation – Buffalo Bay Academy’s Grade 7 class has kicked off the school year on a high note, successfully recalling essential rules and mathematical concepts. The Grade 7 students have shown enthusiasm and dedication to their studies over the first few weeks, setting a positive tone for the rest of the academic year.
The smaller class size this year has provided an excellent opportunity for personalized learning and closer interactions among students and their teacher. This conducive environment is particularly beneficial for fostering the Grandmother and Grandfather Teachings, which are a fundamental part of the curriculum at Buffalo Bay Academy.
Jorden Theissen,Teacher of the Grade 7 class, who also serves as the Principal of Buffalo Bay Academy, has expressed his gratitude with the start of the new school year. He noted that the students are performing well and demonstrating a commendable level of engagement and understanding in their lessons. “It’s been a pleasure to work with the class. The students enthusiasm for learning and their grasp of the material has been truly impressive,” he said.
As the year progresses, the Grade 7 class will continue to build on their initial successes. Students and teachers alike are optimistic about the learning milestones they aim to achieve together.
