Kapawe’no First Nation – The recent “Meet the Teacher” night for our Kapawe’no Nêhiyawak School and Buffalo Bay Academy was a resounding success, especially for the Grade 4 class! Showcasing incredible creativity, the Grade 4 class won a pizza night for having the best-decorated door. All decorated doors were fantastic and demonstrated a high level of artistic talent.
The evening was also marked by exceptional parent involvement, with 100% attendance for Grade 4 parents. To make the night even more engaging, a scavenger hunt was organized for parents and students with the Kapawe’no Nehiyawak School and Buffalo Bay Academy. Parents went through the school to meet staff, collecting hole punches on their pass cards by correctly identifying staff members based on provided questions.
The enthusiastic participation of most staff members greatly contributed to the event’s success. Their involvement was essential in making the scavenger hunt and the “Meet the Teacher” night both enjoyable and memorable for everyone. A special thank you goes out to all the staff who made this wonderful experience possible.
