HIgh Prairie, Kapawe’no Territory – Former National Hockey League player Theo Fleury, middle, spoke to students of the region on Oct. 1. Pratt High School, and Akira Courtorielle, Grade 8, Buffalo Bay Academy.
Fleury received a hockey jersey from the academy and sage grown at the school. Martens received a medallion for bringing the former Calgary Flames player to the region. Sharkawi received an eagle feather for speaking against bullying in a brief message to the students.
