Elder Knowledge Keeper Joseph Challifoux Shares Knowledge with our Schools

Kapawe’no First Nation – Elder Knowledge Keeper Joseph Challifoux, a respected Elder Knowledge Keeper (EKK) Council member, has been actively involved in supporting Kapawe’no Nêhiyawak School and Buffalo Bay Academy. During his visits weekly, he has participated in Nêhiyawêwin, engaged in reading circles and offered guidance to teachers and learning assistants. His involvement provides Pimachimowin and strengthens lifelong learning efforts.
Elder Challifoux’s contributions are also significant for Kapawe’no First Nation Lifelong Learning and Collegiate. His knowledge supports lifelong learning initiatives within the Kapawe’no First Nation. His dedication to sharing traditional LLL knowledge enriches the learning environment for students and teachers, highlighting the importance of his role in the lifelong learning journey.
