Kapawe’no First Nation – Kapawe’no Nêhiyawak School and Buffalo Bay Academy students participated in a historic Halloween event where every student dressed up, creating a memorable day for everyone involved. The school’s Student Council and teachers organized the event, which featured music, a spooky haunted house, and well-decorated gym and classroom settings. Throughout the day, students had the chance to win prizes at all K-12 class levels. The event was smoothly run, with the support of dedicated judges, EKK Don Cunningham, the principals, the superintendent and Councillor Debbie Challifoux, LLL Council Chairperson. Their involvement ensured a successful and engaging experience for all participants.
The event showcased the full spirit and student and staff involvement at both Buffalo Bay Academy and Kapawe’no Nêhiyawak School. The Halloween festivities highlighted the pride and unity within the schools and their togetherness. Participating students demonstrated enthusiasm and creativity with their amazing costumes contributing to the event’s overall success. The collaborative efforts of students, teachers, and administrators showcased once again the strong sense of relience and commitment to excellence within the schools.
