Kapawe’no First Nation – Buffalo Bay Academy students in grades 8, 9, and 10 actively engage in drumming, finding it a source of comfort and balance. Their ongoing visits to see Superintendent Boh Kubrakovich-Kiniw allow them to learn songs including the Muskwak Spirit song, which is centered on healing and balance.
The song, focused on truth and respect, provides support and guidance for the students. Their participation creates an opportunity for growth and understanding, forming an integral part of nêhiyawak pimachimowin.
