Buffalo Bay Academy and Kapawe’no Nehiyawak School continue to make the most of their shared spaces, creating valuable opportunities for students. One standout moment is witnessing older students play muskimut pakahatowan (basketball) with younger peers. This experience highlights how the game transcends age and experience.
The older players through the Muskwak muskimut pakahatowan program offer guidance and encouragement, demonstrating the importance of persistence and teamwork. At the same time, the younger player’s energy and enthusiasm invigorate the court, showcasing how passion can lead to growth. This mentoring moment strengthens muskimut pakahatowan skills and promotes a sense of nationhood and mutual respect among students, reinforcing the positive impact of collaboration between the two schools through teh KFN Collegiate.
