Kapawe’no First Nation – Professional development is a cornerstone of our mission at KFN Collegiate, as we strive to enhance the learning experience of our students through the growth and well-being of our staff. During the week, we focus on equipping our educators and staff with the latest tools, resources, and strategies to foster a dynamic learning environment.
Our journey begins with engaging sessions on innovative practices, policies, difficult decisions, curriculum development, effective classroom management, nehiyawewin, pimachimowin and enhancing student athlete program. By investing in our staff’s professional growth, we not only cultivate their skills but also empower them to inspire and support our students in achieving their fullest potential.
Day one: Power School initiation at our schools
Our dedicated staff engaged in PowerSchool training, an essential platform for improving communication and streamlining various tasks. We are all excited about the opportunities this new system brings, paving the way for more efficient operations and enhanced collaboration. Together, we’re focused on continuous improvement, ensuring that we can provide the highest quality of education and care for our students.
Day one: Team Building and Personality Testing
Another session on day one the staff enjoyed engaging in personality testing activities. This collaborative experience is designed to strengthen our team dynamics and enhance our ability to work together effectively. By understanding each other’s unique personalities and communication styles, we can foster a more supportive and cohesive work environment.
