Kapawe’no First Nation – On the afternoon of day three, staff participated in a mini Round Dance led by our Pimachimowin team, including Mr. Cory Cardinal, Mr. Scott Courtorielle, and Mr. Tyler Mindel. This pimachimowin not only celebrated being nehiyawak but also brought everyone together in a shared experience. Following the Round Dance, we engaged in a team-building archery session, guided by our Grade 3 teacher and certified archery instructor, Mr. Cory Cardinal.
These diverse experiences fostered learning, laughter, and collaboration, strengthening our KFN Collegiate, Nation and enhancing our collective impact on students. Engaging in these activities allows staff to connect with one another on a personal level, which builds trust and promotes a positive work environment. By working together in fun and unique ways, we’re reminded of our shared goals and responsibilities in nurturing the next generation. It was a day filled with growth, connection, and a renewed commitment to our students’ first success!
