Muskwak Juniors Embrace Pimachimowin through Drumming

Kapawe’no First Nation – Every morning, like clockwork, at the Kapawe’’no Nehiyawak School the Muskwak Juniors gather to sing and drum with the grandfather drum, showcasing their determination to live pimachimowin, the Cree way of life. Led by Mr. Cory Cardinal and Mr. Scott Courtorielle, the songs highlights the importance of pimachimowin and nation connection.

The drumming sessions allow students to connect with their heritage while fostering unity and resilience. Through the songs, the Muskwak Juniors embody the spirit of their ancestors, strengthening their commitment to honor their traditions each day.
