Kapawe’no First Nation – Students from Kindergarten and Grade 1 are actively using centres and Nehiyawak circles as part of their learning experience with Ms. Thunder. The centres serve as designated areas where students have engaged in various activities, including reading, math, and art. This approach fosters collaboration and hands-on engagement among the students.
The Nehiyawak circles allow students to explore n?hiyaw?win and nehiyawak pimachimowin through interactive activities and group discussions which as been amazing. Ms. Thunder encourages participation and creativity, helping the young learners connect with their culture and each other in meaningful ways. By integrating centres and Nehiyawak circles, students benefit from diverse, hands-on experiences and collaborative learning opportunities.
