Edmonton, Treaty 6 Territory – After a dominant first period leading by three goals, the Kapawe’no Muskwak U15 Elite entered the break confidently. However, upon resuming play, individual performances and lack of puck-sharing led to a dramatic shift in the score during that period.
Once the coaches calmed the ship, the defense was ready to lead; the very explosive offense took charge, breaking the 4-4 tie with less than two minutes remaining. With a final score of 5-4, the Kapawe’no Muskwak U15 Elite boys might just earn the nickname “Cardiac Kids” for their thrilling finish.
