Red Dress Day: Honour and Remember our Missing, Murdered Women Girls and Two Spirited

May 3, 2025

Kapawe’no First Nation – On May 5, marks Red Dress Day at KFN Collegiate, a very powerful day dedicated to honoring and remembering the thousands of our women, girls and two spirited who have gone missing or have been murdered. This day serves as a crucial moment for reflection and solidarity, aiming to bring attention to the injustices faced by our Nations.

In an effort to spread awareness and foster participation, students are encouraged to partake in this meaningful day of events. Our KFN Collegiate schools, including students and staff, are invited to wear red, a symbol of remembrance, respect, and solidarity, to acknowledge the stories of those lost and to stand with all our nations.
