Kapawe’no First Nation – On Friday, May 9, our Muskwak Sr. drum group sang a beautiful song dedicated to our mothers and kokums of our students. The heartfelt performance filled the space with love and appreciation, making it a memorable occasion for everyone present. It was a wonderful way to honor the important role that mothers and grandmothers play in our lives.
We wish all mothers and kohkom’s nehiyawisik nistam (a happy Mother’s Day). This celebration allows us to express our deep gratitude for their wisdom, and love. Their support is invaluable, and we are grateful for everything they do for us.
